4 Season 2 Person Backpacking Tent

A Place of Shelter

Do you backpack during winter month’s or do you prefer another season? Whatever the case, we have you covered. We invite you to view some all season tents in which we will be highlighting in the coming days, weeks and months ahead. One of my favorite tents is the, 4 season 2 person backpacking tent.

Where ever we might go there is always the need for a place that we can escape the elements, how much more so when hiking and backpacking. Bad weather can arise suddenly without much warning. .

Once, I was hiking in Virginia some years ago, I remember the blue skies, it was fall season and I was nearing the spot that I planned to pitch tent and stay the night, I don’t remember why but I changed my mine and hiked on.

I hiked about another half a mile and noticed that the sky was beginning to darken

I found a place where I could pitch my tent, noticing a line of short bushes I quickly began setting up camp next to them ( I was thinking the bushes may be a buffer against the wind if a storm came up).

Sure enough a storm did come, If it had taken me just 5 minutes longer I’m sure I would have been soaked.

I got no sleep that night, there was thunderstorms all night! It brought with it lots of wind and lighting, I was so relieved that I had a place of shelter!

Where, probably not, to pitch a Tent

Safety should be a major concern when hiking. Not to dampen your enthusiasm but rather to serve as a reminder so that your trip goes well.

There are no doubt, many places that could have the potential to be a dangerous place to pitch a tent, so, we will be speaking in general to cover some places that we would think carefully before putting our tent there.

1- Creeks, Rivers, Lakes and around water in general. Why? We know that water has the real possibility to rise and flood surrounding areas when there is a storm.

2- Under Trees. Why? Lightning can strike the tip of a tall tree and come down the tree, injuring or even causing death.

Suggestion: Before you leave for your hike, Check the weather conditions for the area where you will be hiking.

A home away from Home

Some may worry about sleeping in a tent. Why? For sure, most of us have our own comfort level that allows us to relax and eventually go to sleep, whether that is at home are in a tent.

So what can add to our comfort level when we are camping outdoors and having a tent to sleep in? Well, having ( at least to a degree) some things that helps us relax at home. What are some of those things? This can vary from person to person.

For me, light is a source of comfort, that is, having light available, for example, a tent light that can be easy to turn on. When we are at home we usually have a place that we can reach our keys, wallet, cell phone etc. Most tents are designed with a side pocket to store these things and are easy to get at.

I think many who are pondering tent camping worry about physical comfort and to be realistic it’s a challenge just to imagine enjoying the comfort level that we derive from our own bed at home. This may be one of the reasons why many shun the idea of tent camping.

To you out there that like the idea of the nature aspect of hiking and camping but not so much the sleeping part, there is something that you might try.

Like tasting food for the first time, so too, with tent camping. You may want to try a ” Dry Run ” at home if possible. In that way you will be giving yourself a chance. Like some foods, you may end up liking it more than you expected!

A Tent that fits Your Purpose

No doubt you have shopped for things either for yourself or someone else and not been able to find exactly the product you were looking for. That can happen with just about anything.

Why? Consider, for example, a sweater. Before you could even find the sweater you would have to know the answer to many questions. The size, what season, the color, the material, the design etc.

The same would be true of a tent. For example, what size tent? Before that could be answered you would need to know, how many people would be sleeping in that tent?

Would it be a tent for backpacking or some other purpose? If it were for backpacking, what would be the weight? Would you be able to bear the weight along with your other gear?

Here at Four Season Backpacking we take seriously our customer’s needs. After answering questions like these, in order to ascertain gear that fits your purpose, we will do our best to direct you to a variety of products that will fill those needs.

Choosing your Tent

Some tents that you will find, will be backpacking tents, however, with features that offer flexibility. For example, seasonal tents, such as, 4 season 2 person backpacking tent. It may be suitable for two people or it could give one person more room. You will be able to see more details on each tent.

Some questions you might ask in determining the type of tent needed for your trip is:

1- How many people will be sleeping in the tent?

2- What will be the weather forecast or expected weather for the season that you plan your excursion? Will your trip be lengthy? Perhaps including more than one season.

3-
